The 2025 Preliminary Energy Balance, elaborated by the Planning, Statistics, and Balance Department of the National Energy Directorate, shows clear signs of recent changes in Uruguay’s energy system. While it does not introduce major changes to the supply structure, it identifies important trends in both supply and demand dynamics, especially in electricity use.
