Record electricity demand. Electricity consumption in Uruguay reaches an all-time high of 11.5 TWh in 2022. With a 3.1% growth last year, demand has increased for two consecutive years, surpassing the previous record of 11.3 TWh set in 2018. On the other hand, the higher demand in a month was also appreciated with 1,112 GWh in June.
