Global electricity demand is entering a new phase of structural growth.The Electricity 2026 report, recently published by the International Energy Agency, projects that global electricity consumption will increase by an average of 3.6% annually between 2026 and 2030, a rate 50% higher than in the previous decade. In this new cycle, electricity will grow at least 2.5 times faster than total energy demand and will outpace global economic growth.
